Richard Class Joins OptimX as Senior Advisor

Richard Class has been appointed Senior Advisor at financial services cost consultancy, OptimX.

LONDON 13 September 2022

Richard Class joins the London-based firm from Morgan Stanley (MS), where as a Managing Director he was a portfolio manager and head of MSIM Fixed Income EMEA business development. Prior to that, Richard held several senior roles including head of cross-currency swaps and long-dated FX at Rabobank, and as an innovative derivatives trader at Morgan Grenfell. In addition to his buy and sell side knowledge, Richard has extensive experience in financial product training from his time as a Board Director of BG Consulting Group.

Tim Dier, Founder, OptimX said: “We are excited to welcome Richard to OptimX. His extensive experience on both the buy and sell sides will be an asset to our clients and highlights our commitment to helping firms boost their returns through intelligently cutting costs. Richard joins at a time of rising interest rates and a challenging investment outlook, which makes improving execution quality more important than ever.  His understanding of how it works on the inside dovetails well with our model of providing our clients with direct and continued access to intellectual capital.”

Richard added: “I am delighted to join OptimX as it expands its independent and unbiased execution advisory offering. Until OptimX launched, firms largely relied on their counterparties for advice, or were offered one-size-fits-all software solutions. The vested interests were all too apparent. There is a clear gap in the market for OptimX and I look forward to partnering with its clients.”

OptimX helps firms reduce what they spend on financial services. OptimX is independent and unbiased and works with clients and their counterparties to achieve better and more sustainable relationships, whilst helping reduce operational burden and risk. OptimX is rewarded by results, ensuring aligned interests with clients.
